Message	Sound .. because the signal (electrons) move on the outer layer of the wire and if you are not using any spade connectors, you will need to solder the tip of the wire together before you attach it to any amp or crossover, then you can use without connectors .. but then if you are going to get into soldering you might as well go with the easier way, and that is spade connectors.
